Front Cover: L’appel du large / Francis Denis
Francis Denis is a self-taught painter. He regularly displays in France (Paris and province) and abroad sometimes. Denis is a co-organizer of the Festival d’Art Sacré Contemporain: The Seekers of Light,” (Les Regardeurs de Lumière) which has taken place each year in the cathedral of Saint-Omer since June of 2008. His work has appeared in exhibitions in France (Paris and Province) and abroad. Ira Joel Haber was born and lives in Brooklyn, New York. He is a sculptor, painter, book dealer, photographer and teacher. His work has been seen in numerous group shows both in USA and Europe and he has had 9 one man shows including several retrospectives of his sculpture. His work is in the collections of The Whitney Museum Of American Art, New York University, The Guggenheim Museum, The Hirshhorn Museum & The Albright-Knox Art Gallery. He has received numerous fellowsips and grants, including three National Endowment for the Arts Fellowships and two Pollock-Krasner grants. Currently he teaches art at the United Federation of Teachers Retiree Program in Brooklyn.
