Andrew West was born in Kansas City, Missouri and has lived much of his life in and around that city. He received his B. A. from the University of Notre Dame, his M.A. from the University of Kansas where he is currently a Ph. D. candidate. The poem included in this volume is part of a longer series entitled At Home, In Kansas City.
