Laura Hoffman

I was gutted
like a fucking deer
through a zippery caesarean slash
hanging by one leg, I became
the most unholy pendulum

a tenant inside
my own taxidermized remains
stuffed with itchy artifice
catching a lonely light
with the white crescent wildness
of my marble eyes
