Author’s Note: Based on “Major Roger’s Standing Orders,” a set of guidelines for guerilla warfare revised from Major Robert Rogers’ “28 Rules of Ranging,” written around 1789. These guidelines are still used by the U.S. Army in various forms.
Natalie Fisher holds an M.A. from the Shaindy Rudoff Program in Creative Writing at Bar Ilan University. Her work is published in The Museum of Americana, Blue Lyra Review, Poetica Magazine, and others. Born and raised in the American South, she currently lives in Jerusalem, where she studies tapestry weaving and manages an art gallery in the Old City.
