Artist’s statement. La Cucina Ebraica del Futuro was a collaborative project of Beit Venezia. A writer, chef and artist (me) reimagined the classic cookbook found in every Italian, Jewish home. We created a small edition cookbook of classic recipes with health and sustainability in mind.
Andi Arnovitz lives and works in Jerusalem. A conceptual artist, she often uses printmaking and digital information to create print series, artist books and installations. Andi has had solo and group shows in Israel, Europe and the United States. Her work is in private collections and museums, including the US Library of Congress, The Israel Museum, the Jewish Museum in NYC, Anu, The Smithsonian, and The Israel National Library. Back Cover: Święty dzik (Holy Boar) by Aleksander Atyasov
Artist’s statement. “Holy Boar” was created during an artist residency in Warsaw and became the starting point for an ongoing series. In this work, I rethink the idea of the sacred by shifting it onto nature. The image of a wild boar with a halo challenges human-centered hierarchies and suggests another kind of “holiness.”
For me, collaboration exists not only between people, but also between symbols, contexts, and ways of seeing. By reworking familiar visual codes, I create space for tension, reinterpretation, and dialogue.
Aleksander Atyasov (ACIASAU ALAKSANDR) (b. 2004, Vitebsk) is a Belarusian artist, sculptor, and designer based in Warsaw. Trained in Minsk and Vitebsk, he built a strong classical foundation before turning to experimental practices. Forced to emigrate due to political pressure, he continues his work across sculpture, painting, and digital media, exploring the sacred in the digital age, faith, fear, mortality.
